Rye Fish Market is a local business set in the heart of the local fishing community, driven by locally landed fish. We opened our doors for the first time in 2022, and then followed this with a fully licensed Seafood Bar in 2023.
We are a modern-day Fish Market, with a huge selection of local fish that is landed right behind the shop each day. All the local Rye scallops come from the boats that land into us here at the Fish Market. We have lobster tanks and cook our own lobsters, crabs and whelks too. We will fillet and prepare your fish any way that you like – and be on hand with preparation and cooking tips.

In 2023, we added a fully licensed Seafood Bar to the mix, serving fabulous fresh locally caught, cooked and prepared fish & seafood. Our menu, created by Andy Roberts of Fish Union, includes wonderful fresh oysters, fish rolls, chilli salted tiger prawns and of course, the famous Rye Bay Scallops when in season. Our focus remains firmly on local produce. The fish is caught by our boats here in Rye and along the Sussex coastline. The bread is made especially for us by local artisan bakers Brioche by Andrew at the Oak Bakery.
And then there are the drinks! Again, we focus heavily on local producers. We have wonderful wine from local producers Charles Palmer, Tadpole vineyard and Chapel Down, beer and cider from Curious Brewery and the Wild Beer Company, and White Cliffs gin from Pleasant Land Distillery! Join us for lunch or dinner and a glass or two …
We look forward to welcoming you to the Rye Fish Market & Seafood Bar.
